It all started when...
..I bought a camera and took a picture.
Ok, so there was a little more to it than that. I have always loved the amazing wildlife photography I saw as a kid growing up with National Geographic Magazine. I have also loved exploring and finding new places (at least new to me) so when I finally got a DSLR camera it was was natural that my favorite thing to photograph was landscapes and wildlife. Of course, I soon discovered how much I didn’t know about creating fine art photography. I realized there is a big difference from taking a snapshot of a scene and creating a well composed image with artistic intent. It’s quite exciting when everything comes together and the composition is just right and the lighting is perfect.
This website is my journey to learn more about nature and photography and refine my skills as a fine art nature photographer.
